With Oliver POS Register 3.0, you get a significantly improved interface, advanced product and customer search options, better support for barcode scanning, and so much more.

What is Register 3.0?

Register 3.0 is our latest and greatest POS Register solution, which officially launched in June 2023 along with our new website!


If you signed up with Oliver since June 2023, Register 3.0 is already your default version! That means whenever you click Launch Register in the Oliver HUB (or your WordPress Dashboard) you're opening Register 3.0.

What's improved in Register 3.0?

  • Faster performance for improved checkout efficiency

  • Modern, uncluttered user interface for easy navigation

  • Improved TILE flexibility, including the ability to change tile sizes

  • Lightweight application for better performance and overall stability

Can I use Register 3.0 in my web browser?

Do I have to change any settings in the HUB to use 3.0?

Nope! Your existing shop settings from the Oliver Hub get applied to both versions of the Register, so no additional configuration is needed.

Workflow changes in Register 3.0 to note:

  • For Registers with Cash Management enabled (Basic plan and above) the Close Register button is now located at the PIN screen

  • Activity View is now called Transactions View

  • Oliver Apps are now called Oliver Plugins to better encompass our deep WordPress integration possibilities

How do I add a customer to a sale in 3.0?

If you're used to using the Add Customer button in 2.0, you'll notice that it's missing from the Home screen in the new version. Don't worry! You can still add a customer to the sale, and it's even faster than before through the Search Console. Same number of clicks, but without having to jump to Customer View!

Does upgrading to 3.0 cost extra?

Not at all - our pricing is the same regardless of which version you choose to use. To compare our POS plans check out our pricing page.

What 2.0 features/integrations/payment types are not supported in 3.0?

Some features and integrations that were available in our previous Register are not yet supported in 3.0. If you find that our new Register is missing a component from 2.0 that is important for you, please let us know!
